NEW YORK, NEW YORK – APRIL 23: NCT 127 attends the Build Series to discuss “NEO CITY—The Origin” … [+]
It’s a relatively quiet frame on Billboard’s World Albums chart this frame, with no new releases finding their way to the tally. Instead, BTS retain their control over the ranking (both by holding at No. 1 and by claiming half of all the available real estate) while some popular launches return for another spin.
Here are three titles to pay attention to on this week’s World Albums chart.
No. 4 – NCT 127 – Neo Zone
Ever since NCT 127 debuted their new album Neo Zone at No. 1 on the World Albums chart over half a year ago, the set has continued to perform well, rising and falling depending on what other titles surround it. This time around, the release, which has now been going strong on the list for more than half a year, returns to the top five once again, lifting from No. 6 to No. 4.
No. 11 – Stray Kids – Go Live
Stray Kids’ first proper full-length album Go Live arrived on the World Albums chart earlier this summer, at which point it rose to No. 4, establishing a new high point for the South Korean group. Since then, they’ve repeated that success with a re-release of the title, which they named In Life.
This frame, Go Live is back on the World Albums tally at No. 11, re-entering the race, as it was not present last period.
Stray Kids also occupy two spots on the World Digital Song Sales ranking this week, with “Back Door” dipping from the runner-up rung to No. 6 while “God’s Menu” re-enters at No. 25, in last place. The two cuts are featured on the titles listed just above.
No. 15 – BTS – You Never Walk Alone
Last week, BTS’s older release Wings reappeared on the World Albums chart at No. 15, narrowly sneaking back on to the tally. This frame, that title is gone, but it is replaced by another set from the same group that dropped years ago.
You Never Walk Alone, which originally debuted in 2017, is back on the World Albums list at No. 15, with one project from the band replacing another. Once again, the group controls about half of all the spots on the ranking, which is a feat few could come close to managing, but which BTS accomplishes often.
